SEEDS OF HEALING COUNSELLING PROGRAM
Sexualized violence is an abuse of power and control. Whether it is child sexual abuse or adult sexual assault, it robs the victim of his/her right to choose what happens to his/her body. When a person’s sexual integrity has been violated, it often brings feelings of guilt and shame which leave the person feeling very much alone. In our Seeds of Healing Counselling Program, we provide a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment, where the survivor can regain a sense of control and dignity, and can begin to reconnect with self and others.

HEALING FROM THE HURT
Description:
Healing from the Hurt is a support group for non-offending parents of children who have been abused. Many children and teens are sadly sexually abused or sexually assaulted on a daily
basis and often the parents and/or caregivers are left alone to deal with their own Issues through a very arbitrary judicial system that sees the victims as only a witness to the crime. These are very tragic and traumatic events that happen to children and teens and parents and/or caregivers often need group support to deal with the issues of guilt and blame that often occur and to know that they are not alone and they can
help their children heal from the hurt.
