The Secure Connection program is a series of presentations, of which you can pick different modules that apply to your class/grade/group. Modules can be altered or modified to fit the needs of your group (eg Presentation can focus more on “Safety” than “Sexual Exploitation”).

SECURE CONNECTION: Communication Safety in our Digital World
Secure Connection is a series of presentations that you can customize to apply to your audience. In addition, any module can be altered or modified to fit the needs of your group (eg A focus on “Safety” or “Sexual Exploitation”). All NIMBY Secure Connections modules can contain either personal safety or safety for youth. Current modules are:

- Common Websites, and misconceptions
- How youth use the Internet

- How they are being used by youth
4. Saving Face on FaceBook
- What is FaceBook and Nexopia
- How are these medias being used by the youth
- What implications do they have on society
- How much information is too much
5. “Friending” on Facebook (excellent presentation for teachers and other professionals)
- Why it is important to have boundaries about who you will accept on social networking sites
- Why it is important to think about the image that you are portraying online
- How being someones “friend” can change your relationship.
- Safety issues and professional issues that may arise.
